Reasons Why eBooks Would Become More Popular

These days more and more people read ebooks. They no longer read just the traditional books.
While most people still read traditional books instead of ebooks, if the trend continues there is a good chance that several years from now there will be just as many people reading ebooks as those reading traditional books.
You may even see that traditional books will someday disappear. But why do more and more people read ebooks these days?
There are two important reasons why e-books are becoming increasingly popular over traditional books.
First, you can carry with you a lot of ebooks wherever you go.
With traditional books you will have to carry a large and heavy bag to do that. But with ebooks, all you need to bring is a device like a cell phone or PDA in which you store your ebooks.
You can carry a lot of ebooks as easy as carrying just a few. You can easily have a library of your books no matter where you go.
The second reason is you can search within ebooks easily.
If you read traditional books, the only way to search for particular text is using the index. But every so often the index can't give you the information you need and you must search manually within the book.
The problem doesn't occur on ebooks because there you have a feature to search the text. The feature can help you find exactly what you want in a modest amount of time. This is a big benefit for many people including me.
From what I see, the benefits outlined above will become even more important for most people in the future. As people become increasingly mobile, the benefits of ebooks will likely make them the preferred form of books rather than traditional books.
