Grout Cleaning Woes

Tiled floor for a home does have its advantages. One of the main reasons being, you don't have to worry about it warping from accidental liquid spills. It doesn't scratch very easily. And I will have to mention how easy it is to clean tiles. All it takes is a regular sweeping of the dust on top, and wiping or mopping off spills if necessary.
But, of course, it does come with a price, as easy to clean tiles are matched with the difficulties of cleaning the grout that is in between. It has to be done at least twice at month, or the grout will accumulate a lot of dirt and grime underneath it, as it has a porous nature. This means that it will settle in the holes in the grout; somewhere where cleaning brushes won't reach.
If you disregard the dirt and grime underneath, this will probably be really bad for your health. Kitchens and bathrooms almost always have moist areas, and grout in them will eventually contract a fungus called black mold. It's difficult to clean out their breeding areas, but it can become airborne and get into your body by inhalation. Do not let this harmful bacteria breed.
Grout can be cleaned up, of course. Even if you leave grout alone for months, there are still certain detergents that can kill off the black mold infestation within. But, if you do this, then chances are the chemical substances that kill the mold will most likely replace it as the harmful substance in the grout. It's just as harmful to people, and toddlers are particular at risk, as they crawl about on hands and knees.
So, how do you treat grout problems? For me, the most efficient way to get rid of dust, grime, and black mold is through contacting and hiring professional cleaners to come in and deal with it. Some will have environmentally-friendly solutions if you ask them, and you will want these instead of the toxic chemicals.
