My name is Ian Watts; I live in England in the East Midlands area, in a small village called Linby, Nottingham. This is where I run a limited music business called Comfy Towers Musical Services Ltd with its accompanying high quality digital multi track recording Studio named Comfy Towers. It is here where I create my own musical products and work with other artists creating their products.
I enjoy working with a great network of musicians and artists creating both original material, cover material specifically of the tribute genre and traditional music such as the nursery rhymes project. I have recently worked on albums for tribute bands of my own such as The Beatles (The Silver Beetles), Paul McCartney (Ian Watts), The Kinks (The Kinx), Billy Fury (Billy Fury Story) and Oasis (Ohasis) in addition to original recordings for Andy Whittle, My Mate Kate, Kevin Beal, Joe Stafford, Pete Bradbury (Lucca), Phil Rostance, etc. I have recently written and produced a Christmas single for Jess Conrad (of early 60’s fame) and have projects planned with Paper Lace (of 70’s fame). I also aim to undertake library and production music projects of my own with names such as Chris McCormack and Tom Harrison and have recorded and released a fantastic album of children’s’ music in the form of a 70 track nursery rhyme collection.
I am a classically trained musician having learnt the piano to Grade 8 standard and currently studying Grade 8 pipe organ, both under the Associated Board of The Royal School of Music (ABRSM). I played bass guitar in The Silver Beatles and now in The Kinx, but also play guitar, drums and anything else I can get my hands on. I collect guitars, basses, keyboards, drums and amplifiers and have many rare and vintage items including a 1964 Gretsch Country Gentleman, 1964 Vox Continental Organ and 1965 Ludwig Black Oyster Pearl Downbeat drum kit.
Comfy Towers Musical Services Limited has recently branched off into record company territory gaining deals for artists in the digital download market.
